As unfashionable as it may be, we are a team that believes in good old fashioned personal service.
We work in country houses of all sizes, from cottages to manor houses. We love the variety of our client’s homes, and we believe that for back of house domestic spaces to perform to their fullest, they are best created by designers with experience of life. After 20 years, we have that in abundance.
The rooms we create are there to be used. To be there for your family’s journey. To be dented, scuffed and enriched with the hallmarks of daily life. To tell stories. And, after a few years perhaps, given a fresh coat of paint ready for the next generation to enjoy.
Designing good value, beautiful and high functioning environments for families to thrive in requires a highly collaborative approach between us. It also requires trust. Through enthusiasm, curiosity, collaborating closely with you, caring deeply about your project and communicating clearly, we can create wonderful kitchens and domestic spaces which will be a joy to live in for a lifetime.
We design and make bespoke handmade kitchens, pantries, sculleries and boot rooms. We work across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire, Somerset and sometimes further afield.
Smaller kitchens typically cost between £60,000 and £100,000. Larger kitchens typically cost between £100,000 and £150,000 (this includes VAT, appliances, fitting, worktops, taps, hardware, cabinet making etc).
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded The Bespoke Guild Mark for work at the Grade 1 listed Palladian House, Trewithen in Cornwall. The award was specifically for our work on the historic home’s back of house spaces, most notably the kitchen and pantry. We are only the third kitchen designer/maker to be given the award.
‘The Bespoke Guild Mark represents the pinnacle of excellence in furniture making, and Guild Anderson’s work at Trewithen exemplifies everything this award celebrates – exceptional craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and a profound level of skill and dedication required to create something truly timeless in a space of such historical importance.”
"What we liked the most about Guild Anderson is that they are open to trying new things out. Commissioning a kitchen or piece of furniture is very personal - some people want to buy off the shelf , others see it as a journey, they want to collaborate and be involved. We love the end result: our kitchen is modernity with soul. It is very warm and tactile"
"Guild Anderson are designers that happen to make furniture - they are interior furniture designers. They go so far above and beyond with the level of service they deliver, it is hard to describe what they do for people. The added value becomes clear to my clients so I have no hesitation in recommending Guild Anderson, knowing they will be well looked after. Moreover they provide the same care and attention that we deliver to our clients"
"Our new kitchen has been well worth it and will be here long after we are. The bespoke design is brilliant - we love the different elements, the island, the larder cupboard and especially the chalk board and cookbook shelves. This is how to turn a compromised space into a feature. Guild Anderson is so creative and very good at taking the initiative.
