Many of England’s most celebrated historic back of house spaces were designed and made by the estate joiner, a specialist trade once closely tied to the long-term stewardship of period buildings.
Our approach in English country houses mirrors theirs. Our work for you will be well made and of good value. The design is carefully considered, understated and devoid of unnecessary flamboyance. It is subservient but complementary to the architecture it lies within.
Ours is a humble mindset.
We combine this mindset with the adaptability of bespoke design, the flexibility of fine craftsmanship and a healthy dose of empathy towards clients and their houses. The result? Rooms of utility which respect the architecture of our client’s homes, which perform brilliantly on a very personal level, and which last a lifetime.

Wes knows his way around a workshop. Having started his career as a joiner, he possesses extensive experience in both operations and manufacturing. Previously the Managing Director of David Salisbury, Wes joined Guild Anderson at an important stage in the company’s expansion, to improve efficiency and stability after a rapid period of growth. He has since been focusing on the companies efficiency as it continues to expand. 'It is a great honour to take over from Nick as MD. Our mission is to be recognised as England’s most trusted estate cabinetry specialists, setting the modern standard for how the working rooms of historic houses are designed, made and lived with over generations. We have the right team in place to achieve this, and the drive needed to grow at a comfortable pace'.
